As a follow up to my previous comment, I wrote a very simple wordpress plugin that lets you call octave to generate plots on your post. It just passes the input you give it to octave and displays the resulting image.

If you want a sidebar widget graph, try my Simple Graph Plugin. This PasiChart thingy is very preliminary version and doesn’t even have any dashboard options implemented at all.

Only way to use PasiChart is through using the filters and functions described on this page (and the test page). However, as there is no database management implemented, pasichart_insert_graph function is pretty useless.

I’m not currently planning to develop this plugin further. It’s GPL licenced though, so anyone is welcome to contribute or even take over!

I’ve got WP 2.2. and I can’t see any options in the dashboard. So I can’t find where to make a chart data from database.
Could you please make a step-by-step tutorial how to do it?

If you’re asking how to plot functions, then I’ve to say that I haven’t even planned to support that. (However, that’s only because I hadn’t thought of it. Not a bad idea though.)

Otherwise, the plugin is still in a very early phase of development. Basically this means that you can’t choose the values in the horizontal axis at all, they just run up from zero, one by one.

Thus, with x being an array index of y, which in this example is the Fibonacci series, you can insert a set of data by writing [series y 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ...] inside the pasichart brackets.

I would like to use this plugin, but I seem to be having some problems understanding how to plot arbitrary data.
Can you give me an example of how to do a simple y(x) plot?
